          Build a complete modern handrail with matching round or square tubing, fittings, joiners, flanges, end caps, adapters, and mounting components in stainless steel or black aluminum.

          One fitting system for stainless steel and aluminum

          All matching Inline Design fittings work with both our 2.6 mm stainless-steel tubing and 2.1 mm black aluminum extrusion. The aluminum’s internal ribs recreate the fitting-contact geometry, while the channels between them preserve room for epoxy. The thinner wall is intentional—not a mismatch.

          Match the profile: 1-2/3 in round fittings with 42.4 mm round tubing; 1-9/16 in square fittings with 40 × 40 mm square tubing.

          *Calculation basis: Simply supported 39 in span between handrail bracket attachment points with a 200 lb concentrated transverse load at midspan. Elastic modulus and yield assumptions: aluminum 10 Msi / 35 ksi; stainless steel 28 Msi / 30 ksi. Installation assumptions include 16 in on-center stud spacing and a 35° stair angle.

          Choose the Correct Material and Profile
          • Satin 316 Stainless Steel: preferred for exterior, coastal, pool-area, commercial, and high-corrosion projects when properly maintained.
          • Black Powder-Coated 304 Stainless Steel: a durable black finish over stainless steel, best suited to interior and standard non-coastal applications.
          • Black Matte Aluminum (6005A-T61): a lightweight architectural tube with a high-performance painted finish. This is aluminum—not black stainless steel.

          Choose components by profile and nominal tube size: round parts fit our 1-2/3 in (42.4 mm) round handrail tube, and square parts fit our 1-9/16 in (40 × 40 mm) square handrail tube. Stainless-steel tubing uses a heavy 12-gauge / 0.102 in / 2.6 mm wall; black aluminum extrusion uses a 0.083 in / 2.1 mm wall with internal ribs engineered for the same matching fittings.

          Finish choices vary by product. Check the product title and finish selector before ordering so the substrate, profile, and connection type match the rest of your system. Tubing 9 ft and longer ships by LTL freight; shorter sections can be connected with the matching 180° joiner.
