The Cable Railing Square Fascia Mount Post is part of Inline Design’s
Press & Latch Cable Railing System. This side-mounted post is designed for cable railing
installations where the post attaches to the fascia or side face of the structure instead of mounting on top of
the walking surface.
Each post is supplied pre-drilled and tapped for the Press & Latch cable railing layout and includes the
required fascia mounting plate configuration and cable fittings based on the selected post type. The system is
built around a 1.57" x 1.57" / 40 x 40 mm square stainless steel post profile and is available
in 36" and 42" standard railing heights.
Use it for decks, balconies, porches, stairs, landings, terraces, indoor railings, outdoor railings,
residential projects, and commercial projects when installed according to local code, approved mounting
conditions, cable spacing requirements, top rail requirements, and project-specific engineering.
Before Fabrication: Stair Post Layout Review
Stair posts require layout review before fabrication. If your order includes stair posts, please review our Stair Details page and send us the requested photos, measurements, and layout information.
Stair posts are available in left-hand and right-hand configurations and must be fabricated according to your field measurements. The 36" height is measured from the stair nosing to the top of the handrail. Because fascia boards can sit higher or lower than the stair nosing line, the actual stair condition must be verified before fabrication.
Stair posts may require CAD drawings for custom post fabrication. We will review your submitted stair details and confirm the correct stair post configuration before production when necessary.

Important Installation Notes
-
Stainless steel cable wire is not included. Cable must be ordered separately based on project length, cable size, and layout.
-
Handrail/top rail tubing is not included. A continuous top rail or handrail is required for cable railing systems and must be selected based on the project design.
-
Fascia mounting anchors are not included. Due to the variety of mounting surfaces, customers must supply the appropriate connecting hardware, including screws, bolts, anchor bolts, or other project-specific fasteners.
- Anchor selection must be based on the mounting surface, including fascia framing, concrete, steel, wood blocking, or other approved structural substrates.
- Custom fabrication requires a minimum of 1–2 weeks for production.
- Cable spacing, post spacing, handrail continuity, guardrail height, fascia plate location, anchoring, and other structural requirements must be verified against local code and project-specific engineering.
- For coastal or high-corrosion environments, stainless steel must be cleaned and maintained regularly.
Handrail Bracket M6 Screw Direction Disclaimer
The direction of the M6 screw on the handrail bracket may vary. The M6 screw that secures the saddle on top of the post may be positioned either on the inside or the outside face. This orientation is random and depends on the production batch. We cannot guarantee a specific direction, and mixing post batches may result in variation. This does not affect structural performance.
