In order to better assist you in designing your stair railing we are going to need the following information:
- Nose to nose distance
- Angle of the stairs
- Pictures of the stairs showing all the steps (number of risers)
Stair Angle Measurement
Please place a long straight piece of wood or Alumnium that covers as many steps as possible so the measurement is a an average measurement of the angle. The run and rise of the stairs are not 100% equal and are not 100% horizontal and vertical. Measuring the average angle of the stairs is the best field measurement that can be provided along with the nose to nose distance as shown in the below drawing.
