What "8 ft" means: it fits an 8 ft opening, for example between two walls. The top rail stops about 1 in short of each side, so it is 7 ft 10 in (94 in) long. Three posts sit under it, about 3 ft 9 in apart on center (code maximum is 4 ft).
Included: 1 tensioner end post, 1 middle post and 1 terminal end post (each post kit comes with its Press & Latch fittings and the Pyramid bracket for the top rail), one 164 ft roll of 5/32" 1x19 stainless cable (enough for all the runs plus spare: 10 at 36", 12 at 42"), the 7 ft 10 in top rail and 2 end caps.
Not included: mounting anchors or lag bolts for your deck or wall, screws for the top rail, and shipping. Final layout and post spacing must meet your local building code.
