Michael’s Cable Railing Project – Nevada Home with Stainless Steel Finish

Inline Design recently had the pleasure of working with Michael on his beautiful home in Nevada. The project perfectly blends modern design with natural materials, showcasing our stainless steel cable railing system both indoors and outdoors.

A Modern Touch for Indoor Stairs

Michael’s staircase is the centerpiece of his home, featuring open floating wood treads paired with our stainless steel round posts and horizontal cable infill. The warmth of the wood steps and handrails contrasts elegantly with the clean, brushed stainless steel finish.

The sleek stainless posts are surface-mounted, securely anchoring the railing system while maintaining a light, airy feel. For the handrail, Michael selected a stained wood profile that complements the staircase treads. The handrail brackets ensure a seamless, floating appearance, while the precision-fitted 90° wood corner joints highlight the craftsmanship of the installation.

Natural Light and Open Views

Large windows flood the stairwell with natural light, and the slim cable infill ensures unobstructed sightlines throughout the space. Unlike bulky traditional railings, this design emphasizes openness, making the interior feel larger and more connected.

Outdoor Deck with Spa and Stainless Steel Railing

The project extends outside, where Michael designed a raised deck with a built-in hot tub surrounded by nature. Here, our stainless steel cable railing is paired with a natural wood top rail and deck framing. The stainless finish is ideal for exterior use, offering durability against the Nevada climate while maintaining a crisp, modern look.

The result is a safe and stylish space where Michael can enjoy the surrounding landscape without sacrificing the view.

Why Stainless Steel?

Michael chose stainless steel for its durability, corrosion resistance, and timeless appearance. Unlike painted finishes, stainless requires minimal maintenance and naturally complements both contemporary and rustic architectural styles.
