Frameless Glass Balcony Railing with Side-Mount Standoffs – Kenmore, WA

Denis lives in Kenmore, WA with a view worth protecting, so when it was time to enclose his balcony he chose a frameless glass railing rather than posts. The glass panels are side-mounted to the fascia with our round 2" glass standoffs (glass adapters). Because the hardware sits on the outside face of the deck, the floor stays completely clear and the panel edge becomes the railing edge.
Standoffs are a simple system: two or more per panel edge, bolted through the rim joist, with a round button stabilizer at each joint so the run of panels behaves as one sheet. Denis ordered the standoffs, followed our standoff installation guide, and had a frameless glass balcony that looks like it floats off the house.
The satin 316 stainless finish shrugs off Pacific Northwest weather; the same standoffs are also available in black matte for a darker, more modern edge.
